Carrying Cake
- Always carry cake horizontally, holding it from the center at the bottom.
- If you are using a car, place it on a flat surface or carry it on your lap, always avoid direct sunlight.
- An elegantly decorated cake means nothing if it doesn't arrive in one piece.
Storage
- Always store Cake away from direct sunlight and water
- Cakes with fruits(Black Forest, White Forest and Fresh Fruit Gateau) should always be stored in the fridge.
- Rich Fruit Cakes can be wrapped in foil and stored in an airtight container for long term storage.
Cake Life
- Black Forest, White Forest and Fresh Fruit Gateau last for maximum two days in the fridge.
- Rich Fruit Cakes can last as long as one year outside the fridge (see storage above).
Cutting Cake
- To cut a round cake, you will move in two inches from the outside edge and cut a circle.
- Then slice wedge pieces from within the circle about two inches wide.
- Next, move in another two inches and cut another circle, then cut wedge pieces withing the circle about two inches wide.
- Repeat these steps until the cake is cut completely.(as shown above)
- To cut a square cake, cut it into a half, then slice that into another half.
- Repeat these steps until the cake is cut completely.(as shown above)
